Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” has surpassed “Incredibles 2” in global box office revenue, earning a staggering $1.25 billion worldwide. This achievement makes it the highest-grossing movie in Pixar’s history and the fourth highest-grossing animated film of all time, trailing behind “Frozen,” “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” and “Frozen II.”
The sequel, which follows Riley as she navigates the complexities of adolescence, has outperformed its predecessor, the 2015 film “Inside Out,” which earned $859 million globally.

This milestone comes as no surprise, considering “Inside Out 2” became the fastest animated film to reach $1 billion at the worldwide box office, a feat achieved less than three weeks after its release. It is one of only 11 animated titles to have crossed the $1 billion mark and the first film of any kind to do so since “Barbie” in July 2023.
The film introduces new emotions like Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Nostalgia, adding another layer of complexity to the already beloved characters.
Amy Poehler, who voices Joy, had been eagerly anticipating a sequel for years. She praised the filmmakers’ creative approach and expressed her excitement for the film’s release.
“Inside Out 2” is currently playing in theaters, delighting audiences with its heartwarming story and captivating characters.
