On Wednesday, he revealed his decision at a press conference at the National Press Club in Islamabad.

“Under these circumstances, I am unable to lead the party.” “I am resigning as PTI’s Secretary General and core committee member,” he declared during a press conference.

According to Asad Umar, the most hazardous thing that transpired on May 9 was the attack on military sites. “I believe Imran Khan has best explained Pakistan’s army’s status.” He claimed that if we hadn’t had a strong force like ours, we would have suffered a similar fate as Syria. Khan sb stated, “My country needs my army more than I do.”

He stated that the events of May 9 are not only condemnable, but also cause us to reflect on where we’ve come. “I believe that those involved in these incidents should be investigated transparently.” But there are also the innocent. “Thousands of PTI workers and supporters have been arrested, many of whom are innocent… it is critical that they are released as soon as possible,” he continued.

In response to an inquiry, Asad emphasised that he had not left the party but had resigned as secretary general.

In answer to an inquiry, Umar stressed that he has not left the party totally, but has resigned as secretary general. He stressed that his decision was entirely voluntary and was not affected by any “external pressure.”

According to the former finance minister, the army is made up of thousands of soldiers who give their lives for the safety of the country, not just a few generals whose names are heard on TV.

“For the last three generations, my family has been involved with the army.” Members of my family have been involved in these conflicts all year, from the 1965 war to the fight on terror,” he continued.
