[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Health experts in Lahore have issued a warning about a novel virus believed to be triggered by smog, emphasizing its spread in the capital city of Punjab. Pulmonologist Dr. Irfan Malik informed local media that individuals infected with this virus exhibit various symptoms, including high fever, body pain, stomach problems, and cough. Notably, the smog-borne virus has the potential to affect entire families once one member contracts it. Hospitals and private clinics are reportedly receiving 30 to 40 patients infected with the virus on a daily basis, with children and elderly individuals being particularly vulnerable.

Dr. Malik mentioned that, as of now, there have been no reported casualties attributed to this virus. Caretaker Minister of Health Dr. Javid Akram expressed concerns about the prevalence of the current virus, suggesting that it could potentially be related to COVID-19. He noted that the lack of widespread COVID testing is complicating the situation.
