Pakistani actor Hania Aamir has publicly dismissed a fake statement falsely attributed to her regarding the April 22 Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The fabricated quote, which accused Pakistan’s military and appealed to the Indian prime minister, was widely circulated on social media.

In a clear rebuttal shared via her Instagram story, Aamir stated, “I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me.” She labelled the circulating quote as “entirely fabricated” and said it misrepresented her values and identity.

Expressing condolences to the victims of the attack, Aamir urged empathy rather than politicisation of the tragedy. She cautioned against spreading unverified claims, noting that such misinformation only deepens divisions and misleads the public.
She concluded by asking her followers to prioritise fact-checking and to adopt a response based on peace, truth, and solidarity.
