Upon arrival, he was warmly received at the Federal Ministry of Defence by General Carsten Breuer, Chief of Defence, who honored him with an Honour Guard from the German Armed Forces.
During his visit, General Munir held high-level discussions with Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, Chief of the German Army. He also toured the Army Combat Training Centre in Gardelegen, accompanied by his German counterpart, where he received detailed briefings on various military training aspects, including a demonstration on urban warfare, highlighting the German Army’s capabilities and readiness.

In addition, General Munir met with key officials such as Jens Plötner, Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the Federal Chancellor; Tobias Linder, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; and Nils Hilmer, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. These discussions focused on mutual interests, regional security dynamics, and Pakistan’s contributions to global peacekeeping efforts.
The German leadership commended the Pakistan Army’s significant role in fighting terrorism and promoting peace and stability in the region, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to address common security challenges.
General Munir’s itinerary also includes a visit to the German Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Hamburg, where he will address students from various countries, discussing Pakistan’s regional and international security perspectives and the Pakistan Armed Forces’ contributions to United Nations peacekeeping missions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
