Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has intensified its crackdown on gas theft, disconnecting 254 illegal connections across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad. The company has also imposed fines totaling Rs 2.65 million on violators.
In Lahore, 81 illegal connections were severed, with fines amounting to Rs 0.81 million. Faisalabad saw 29 disconnections, with penalties totaling Rs 0.26 million, while 7 illegal connections were removed in Sheikhupura, leading to fines of Rs 0.31 million.

The Multan team disconnected 45 connections for gas theft, with an additional 24 cut off due to compressor usage. In Bahawalpur, 9 connections were terminated for illegal gas use, while 53 more were disconnected for unauthorized compressor installations.
Gujranwala’s regional team disconnected one illegal connection and imposed a fine of Rs 0.25 million. Meanwhile, in Sahiwal, 5 connections were cut off, with fines reaching Rs 1.03 million.
