[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Pakistani government has raised the fees for fast-track passport applications once again, with the new charges coming into effect from May 8.
This fee increase comes as the passport clearance process faces a backlog, attributed to a shortage of lamination paper. Consequently, the waiting period for passport issuance has stretched to several months. Despite the revenue generated, the passport department has struggled to clear the backlog, resulting in a pile-up of pending passports. Currently, only urgent and fast-track applicants are receiving passports.
