In a heartfelt declaration on social media, she accused her husband of being “occupied with other companions” and invoked the Islamic practice of triple talaq, stating “I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you.”
This announcement, however, has raised eyebrows due to Islamic law not recognizing triple talaq as a valid method of divorce for women. Instead, women are required to seek divorce through khula, a formal court process initiated by the wife. This legal discrepancy has added complexity to the situation.
