Apple Streamlines Lineup, Check All 25 Products That Disappeared

As Apple discontinued 25 products in 2025, the tech giant’s hardware lineup looks markedly slimmer and more focused on innovation. This extensive shake-up affected iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, accessories and marked the end of some long-running favourites.

Among the most notable changes, Apple officially retired several flagship and mid-range iPhones this year. The iPhone SE (3rd generation), cherished for its compact size, Touch ID and classic home button, was discontinued in February 2025 after the launch of the iPhone 16e, closing a decade-long product chapter.

Alongside that, multiple models across the main iPhone series were removed from sale, including:

  • iPhone 16 Pro
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15
  • iPhone 15 Plus
  • iPhone 14
  • iPhone 14 Plus

This signals Apple’s continuing shift to newer designs, bigger screens and USB-C connectivity, a change accelerated in part by regulatory pressures in key markets.

It wasn’t just phones. The iPad family saw older chip variants like the iPad Pro with M4 chip, iPad Air with M2 chip and iPad 10th gen discontinued after replacements with updated processors arrived.

In Mac hardware, the Mac Studio (M2 Max/Ultra) and older MacBook Air M3/M2 configurations were dropped as Apple transitions its notebook and desktop line to the newer M-series silicon.

Accessories also changed. Items such as AirPods Pro 2, original Vision Pro (M2) units and several chargers and connectors quietly exited Apple’s catalogue, underlining the push toward universal USB-C standards.

In broader Apple news this year, there have also been reports about internal shifts at the executive level with potential leadership changes in Apple’s senior ranks impacting future product strategies and innovation direction.

By the end of 2025, as Apple discontinued 25 products, customers are looking at a more unified ecosystem, but many classic choices have quietly exited. Whether upgrading now or planning purchases in 2026, users should note the accelerating pace of change as Apple leans deeper into AI power, new chip tech and streamlined device families.
