Zelensky Reveals US-Ukraine Plan to End Russian War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed details of a joint US-Ukraine plan aimed at ending the ongoing war with Russia. The announcement comes as Kyiv intensifies diplomatic efforts to find a political solution while continuing to defend its territory against Russian forces.

Speaking to international media, Zelensky said the proposed plan was developed in close coordination with Washington and reflects months of strategic consultations. He described it as a realistic framework designed to bring a lasting and just peace, while safeguarding Ukraine’s sovereignty and long-term security interests.

According to Zelensky, the plan includes strong security guarantees for Ukraine, supported by the United States and its allies. These guarantees are intended to prevent future aggression and ensure that any ceasefire or settlement is not used by Russia to regroup militarily.

The proposal also addresses territorial issues, calling for respect for Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders. Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine would not accept any peace deal that legitimizes occupation or undermines the country’s independence and right to choose its own alliances.

Economic recovery and reconstruction are another key part of the plan. Zelensky said Ukraine would require sustained international support to rebuild infrastructure, revive industry, and help millions of displaced citizens return home after years of conflict.

Russia has not formally responded to the latest proposal. While diplomatic channels remain open, analysts say major challenges remain, including disagreements over territory and security arrangements. Despite this, Zelensky said Ukraine remains committed to pursuing peace through dialogue alongside continued defense.
