Illegal property occupation has become a growing concern across Punjab, affecting local residents, investors, and overseas Pakistanis alike. Many property owners face difficulties reclaiming their land due to lengthy procedures and lack of awareness about legal options. To address this issue, the Punjab government has introduced digital platforms that allow citizens to file complaints online in a transparent and time-saving manner.
The first step in filing an online complaint is to prepare all relevant documents. Property owners should collect proof of ownership such as registry papers, allotment letters, mutation records, or court orders if available. A valid CNIC, mobile number, and clear details of the disputed property location are also essential before submitting a complaint online.
One of the main platforms for lodging such complaints is the Punjab Police Online Complaint System. Citizens can visit the official Punjab Police website and access the complaint registration section. After selecting the category related to land or property issues, complainants must fill in accurate information explaining how their property is being illegally occupied and by whom.
Another effective method is the Pakistan Citizen Portal mobile application. After logging in, users can choose Punjab Police or district administration as the relevant department. The complaint category related to illegal occupation or land grabbing should be selected, followed by a detailed explanation. Supporting documents can be uploaded to strengthen the complaint.
In serious cases involving land grabbers or organized groups, complaints can also be sent to the Anti-Land Grabbing Cells working under district administrations. Some deputy commissioner offices provide official emails or online portals for such issues. Clear documentation and factual details help speed up the response process.
Once a complaint is submitted, a tracking number is issued. This number allows complainants to monitor progress online. Authorities may contact the complainant for verification or additional information. Police or revenue officials may also conduct site visits as part of the investigation.
If there is no response within a reasonable time, complainants can escalate the issue through the Citizen Portal again or approach the deputy commissioner’s office with reference details. Online systems have made it easier for citizens to protect their property rights without repeated office visits.
