CDF Asim Munir Issues Strong Warning to India

Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has issued a stern warning to India, cautioning that Pakistan’s future response to any act of aggression will be “faster and more severe” than before. He emphasized that India should not remain under any illusions regarding Pakistan’s capabilities and resolve.

Addressing the inauguration of the newly established Defence Forces Headquarters, Field Marshal Munir highlighted that while Pakistan remains committed to peace, it is fully prepared to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He described the creation of the Defence Forces Headquarters as a “historic and fundamental transformation” driven by evolving regional and global security challenges. The new command structure is designed to improve coordination among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, ensuring more effective responses in modern multi-domain warfare.

“Each service will retain its distinct identity and operational readiness, but the Defence Forces Headquarters will synchronize all operations for maximum efficiency,” he stated.

Field Marshal Munir also discussed regional security concerns, particularly India’s stance, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s position as a peace-oriented nation that will never compromise on national dignity or sovereignty. He underlined that Pakistan has delivered a clear message to the Taliban administration: it must choose between supporting Pakistan or aiding hostile militant groups. Any facilitation of terrorism against Pakistan will be met with strict consequences.

He further asserted that Pakistan remains “invincible” due to the unwavering faith of its armed forces and the unity of its people. No external power can weaken the country’s defence or resolve.

Earlier, a ceremonial event at the General Headquarters (GHQ) marked his appointment as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces. A joint contingent from the Army, Navy, and Air Force presented a guard of honour, attended by senior military officials, including the chiefs of the Navy and Air Force, in a historic display of unity and coordination.
