Several travelers on the Green Line Express from Islamabad to Karachi reportedly became sick after eating contaminated and low-quality food served onboard.
According to reports, passengers were given expired meals, resulting in stomach pain, vomiting, and nausea, with a few even fainting due to their deteriorating condition.
The situation sparked a protest at Khanewal Railway Station, where frustrated passengers blamed Pakistan Railways for poor management. Railway Police were called in to handle the unrest.
This incident adds to previous complaints of food poisoning on the same train, once again highlighting serious concerns over food hygiene on long-distance rail services.
