South African skipper Temba Bavuma is set to make his comeback as captain for the upcoming Test series against India, starting on November 14, 2025.
Bavuma had missed the previous tour due to a calf injury but has now fully recovered and rejoined the squad to lead the Proteas.
The selectors have shown faith in Bavuma’s leadership as South Africa prepares for a tough challenge on Indian soil.
Most of the squad remains unchanged from the side that toured Pakistan, ensuring consistency and balance in the team’s lineup.
Bavuma’s return is seen as a major boost for the Proteas, both in terms of experience and stability. The two-match series is a crucial part of the World Test Championship,
and his leadership will play a key role as South Africa aims to secure vital points away from home.
