Pakistan Navy ship seizes drugs worth nearly $1bn in Arabian Sea

The Pakistan Navy has seized a massive cache of narcotics valued at nearly $1 billion during an operation in the Arabian Sea. Officials confirmed that the successful operation was carried out based on intelligence reports about drug trafficking routes being used by international smugglers.

According to the Navy’s statement, the seized drugs included large quantities of heroin, crystal meth, and hashish. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and other law enforcement bodies.

Officials said the seized contraband was intended for international markets, highlighting the continued threat of maritime smuggling in the region. The interception demonstrates Pakistan’s strong commitment to combating illegal drug trade and ensuring maritime security.

The Navy emphasized that such operations will continue under its ongoing efforts to maintain security and prevent the use of Pakistan’s waters for criminal activities. The seized drugs have been handed over to authorities for further legal action.
