Govt Releases List Of Certified Umrah Companies To Curb Fraud

The federal government has released a list of certified Umrah Companies to protect pilgrims from fraud and ensure safe travel arrangements.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 113 operators have been approved for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri. The updated list of certified Umrah Companies is available on the ministry’s official website, allowing pilgrims to verify operator details before making any bookings.

Officials explained that the move aims to reduce exploitation by unauthorized agents. By publishing a verified list, the government hopes to provide pilgrims with trusted and reliable travel options.

The ministry advised all travelers to carefully check the official website before paying for packages. It also directed pilgrims to make payments only into the certified company’s official bank account.

A spokesperson stressed that travelers must always collect a payment receipt and keep a copy of the agreement provided by the operator. These steps are designed to protect pilgrims and create accountability in case of disputes.

The release of certified Umrah Companies comes as thousands of Pakistanis prepare for the religious journey. Authorities believe that the new measures will help ensure transparency and give pilgrims peace of mind.

The government has also pledged to continue improving systems for monitoring and regulating pilgrimage operators. Officials confirmed that further steps will be taken to make sure the process remains smooth, safe, and free of fraudulent practices.

This initiative highlights the government’s focus on protecting pilgrims from exploitation and providing them with secure travel services during their sacred journey.
