Pakistan Stands With Muslim World As Strong Nuclear Power Deputy PM Dar

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that Pakistan, as a nuclear power and a member of the Muslim Ummah, will fulfill its responsibilities to protect regional peace and sovereignty.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Dar strongly condemned Israel’s recent strikes on Qatar, Lebanon, and Syria. He emphasized that attacking a sovereign country is unjustified. He highlighted Pakistan’s support for Qatar and urged Muslim nations to go beyond verbal condemnations, calling for a clear roadmap against Israeli aggression.

Dar stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza as Palestinians face severe humanitarian challenges. He noted that Arab countries have discussed forming a joint security force focused on maintaining peace and stability.

Criticizing the United Nations Security Council, Dar said it has failed to act decisively on long-standing disputes like Kashmir and Palestine. He called for reforms to ensure the UNSC fulfills its responsibilities. Dar also highlighted that both Israel and India openly disregard UNSC resolutions, fueling instability in the region.

Regarding regional security, Dar said Pakistan, with modern weapons and a strong military, will not tolerate violations of its sovereignty. He warned that water could become the “axis of future wars” and cautioned India against suspending or terminating the Indus Waters Treaty.

On relations with India, Dar stated that Pakistan is open to dialogue on all issues, including Kashmir. He expressed regret over India’s baseless allegations against Pakistan, despite its sacrifices in combating terrorism. He also acknowledged America’s positive role in past conflicts while emphasizing Pakistan’s frontline role against terrorism.

Dar’s remarks highlight Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty, promoting regional peace, and supporting the Muslim world in times of crisis.
