A sessions court in Lahore has extended the interim bail of YouTuber Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, until September 15 in a case linked to the alleged promotion of online gambling apps.
Jatoi appeared in court with her lawyer, Advocate Chaudhry Usman Ali, for the hearing of her pre-arrest bail plea before an additional sessions judge.
Her counsel argued that the National Cyber Crime Agency (NCCIA) had summoned her for inquiry and there were concerns she could be arrested during the investigation. The defense assured the court of her full cooperation in the probe.
The judge barred the NCCIA from arresting Aroob Jatoi until the next hearing and instructed the agency to present a detailed report by September 15.
The case involves accusations of promoting gambling-related content, which carries serious penalties under Pakistan’s cybercrime laws.
