Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit, where he was welcomed by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, at Nur Khan Airbase. Wang Yi, a senior diplomat and member of the Communist Party of China’s Politburo, is visiting to further cement the strong partnership between Pakistan and China.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that ties between the two countries are not only historic but also expanding steadily. The spokesperson described Pakistan and China as trusted friends and key partners in regional and international matters. This is Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s second significant visit to Pakistan in three years, during which both sides will focus on enhancing strategic cooperation, regional coordination, and practical collaboration.
According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit demonstrates Beijing’s firm commitment to strengthening its bond with Islamabad. The spokesperson also highlighted recent high-level interactions, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China in June last year and the Pakistani President’s official trip earlier this year. Leadership from both nations remains committed to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in the future.
Before Wang Yi visit to Pakistan, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Visited China for Discussions
