A tragic terror incident unfolded in Balochistan as at least nine passengers traveling from Quetta to Lahore were abducted and executed by militants. The attack occurred near Loralai, where the assailants intercepted the bus, verified passengers’ identities through their National Identity Cards, and selectively removed some individuals before fatally shooting them.

Local authorities confirmed that the bodies were shifted to Rakhni Hospital for identification and further legal procedures. Assistant Commissioner Zhob, Naveed Alam, stated that rescue and law enforcement teams were promptly dispatched to the site following the incident.

The Balochistan government’s spokesperson, Shahid Rind, strongly condemned the killings, attributing the attack to the hostile campaign by “Fitna-e-Hindustan.” He revealed that this was one of three coordinated assaults that took place in Qalat, Mastung, and Loralai, although security forces successfully thwarted the others. The brutal killing of innocent passengers was described as a continuation of targeted terrorism aimed at destabilizing the region.

Despite an earlier security alert and travel restrictions on the N-70 highway, a bus departed in the evening, which unfortunately became the target. Victims reportedly belonged to various cities in Punjab, highlighting the cross-provincial impact of the Balochistan security crisis.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also issued a strong condemnation of the Balochistan bus attack. He labeled the mass killing of unarmed civilians as a heinous act of terrorism and vowed that the blood of the innocent would not go unavenged.

Reaffirming the state’s resolve to fight terrorism, the Prime Minister declared that all necessary force would be used to confront and eliminate threats to national peace and stability. He emphasized unity and determination as the key to eradicating terrorism from Balochistan and the broader country.
