Pakistani actor and filmmaker Shamoon Abbasi has publicly come to the defense of veteran actor and writer Syed Mohammad Ahmed, warning an unnamed actor to apologize over alleged disrespectful behavior on a television drama set.
In a strongly worded statement, Shamoon claimed he knows the identity of the actor who allegedly humiliated Syed Mohammad Ahmed during a production. Without revealing the person’s name, he warned that he would make the identity public if the actor failed to apologize to the veteran star.

Beyond AI, the veteran writer also criticized producers for making significant alterations to original scripts after they are submitted for production.
Sharing one of his experiences, Ahmed revealed that he had completed 17 episodes of a drama serial before being instructed to remove everything written after the 11th episode.
He said writers frequently lose creative control once production begins, as producers often modify scripts to improve ratings or create viral moments without fully understanding the writer’s vision.
“If producers cannot understand the writer’s vision despite repeated explanations, they simply modify the script themselves,” Ahmed explained during the podcast.
The veteran actor also expressed concern that AI-assisted scripts often contain dialogue that sounds unnatural because they fail to capture the nuances of Pakistani culture, language, and social behavior.
While acknowledging the growing importance of technology in the entertainment industry, Ahmed maintained that artificial intelligence still cannot replace authentic human storytelling rooted in local experiences.
