Pakistan has firmly stated that its nuclear program is fully secure and protected against any external threats. The assurance came from ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry during an interview with Al Jazeera.

He emphasized that no one can dare to target Pakistan’s nuclear program. It is safeguarded by a strong command and control system. He called Pakistan a responsible nuclear state with complete confidence in its defense capabilities.

The statement comes after increased tensions in the region. The military spokesperson accused India of supporting terrorism in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan. He said Indian intelligence is backing armed groups to destabilize peace.

Gen Chaudhry also responded to the recent suicide bombing in North Waziristan, which killed 16 army personnel. He described the attack as part of a larger conspiracy against Pakistan.

He said that extremist groups acting against the state have no link with Islam or Pakistani values. He explained that only the state has the authority to declare jihad.

Speaking about foreign policy, the DG ISPR expressed Pakistan’s support for Iran against Israeli aggression. He also accused Indian officials of involvement in cross-border terrorism, citing international investigations.

He described India’s actions as state-sponsored terrorism aimed at disturbing regional peace. He warned that such efforts will not succeed.

Reiterating Pakistan’s strength, he said the country’s nuclear program remains untouchable. Pakistan is prepared to respond to any threat to its national security.

His remarks aim to reassure the public and international observers that Pakistan’s nuclear program is not only secure but also a key part of its regional deterrence strategy.
