Former Punjab Minister Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has drawn widespread criticism after a video went viral showing him attending a funeral prayer while sitting inside his air-conditioned Land Cruiser.
The incident took place during the funeral of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Wattoo in Okara. In the video, Wattoo’s vehicle is seen parked in the front row as others stood under the sweltering sun for the prayer. His decision to remain in the comfort of his car during the prayer was widely slammed as insensitive and disrespectful.

Social media erupted with criticism, with users calling out the sharp divide between the political elite and ordinary citizens. Many highlighted how Wattoo’s act reflected a disregard for public sentiment, suggesting that if he had difficulty standing, he could have used a chair or wheelchair instead of staying in his car.
Critics labeled it another example of how some politicians detach themselves from the public they represent. As of now, Manzoor Wattoo has not responded to the controversy
