Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of its new Package Visa, a digital initiative designed to simplify travel by integrating tourist visa applications directly with curated travel bookings. The new system is being introduced through qualified travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets before it is expanded to more countries.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to make visiting the country more convenient for international travelers. Since introducing the tourist e-Visa, the Kingdom has expanded its visa options by offering visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa. These measures have contributed to the country’s growing tourism industry, with Saudi welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025.
Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb said the new Package Visa reflects the country’s commitment to making travel simpler and more accessible. He said integrating visa issuance with travel bookings will create a smoother visitor experience while strengthening cooperation across the tourism sector. The initiative also supports Saudi Arabia’s goal of becoming a leading global tourism destination.
Under the new system, eligible travelers can complete several travel requirements through one integrated booking process. Instead of arranging flights, accommodation, and visas separately, visitors can book everything together. Travelers will also have the option to include tourism experiences, events, and activities in their travel package, making the journey more convenient from planning to arrival.
The Package Visa also offers benefits for qualified travel and tourism service providers. It enables them to create more attractive travel packages, simplify travel arrangements for customers, encourage longer stays, and promote richer tourism experiences across Saudi Arabia. The initiative is expected to strengthen the country’s tourism ecosystem by improving coordination between travel partners.
Saudi authorities said the Package Visa will only be available through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet established service standards and provide 24/7 customer support. The government believes the initiative will further improve the visitor experience while supporting the continued growth of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector and making travel to the Kingdom more seamless for international visitors.
