Apple’s iCloud services experienced a major outage in the early hours of Wednesday, disrupting access for users worldwide to a range of core services, including iCloud Mail, Photos, iCloud Calendar, and Find My. The disruption lasted over two hours, sparking frustration among users and a flurry of reports on social media.
The issue began around 1:18 am IST, with Downdetector registering a surge in complaints—primarily involving email access and server connection problems, along with some syncing issues. Apple acknowledged the disruption on its System Status page, stating that “some users were affected,” though it did not elaborate on the scope of the outage.

On social media platform X, users expressed their frustration over the rare but broad-scale interruption. “Never have I seen Apple’s cloud services down for this long… over 2.5 hours and counting,” wrote user Steve Guttbinder.
While Apple has not disclosed the cause of the outage, it reassured users that all services are now functioning normally.
