The renowned Shandur Polo Festival has kicked off at the world’s highest polo ground, Shandur, located 12,000 feet above sea level. The three-day event, organized by the K-P Tourism Authority, the Pakistan Army, and the Chitral Scouts, promises exciting matches and cultural festivities.

The opening day saw an intense polo clash between Chitral’s Sar Laspur and Ghizer (Gilgit-Baltistan), with Sar Laspur securing a 6-3 victory. The festival will continue with traditional rivalries between Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan teams, attracting both local and international spectators to the breathtaking landscapes of Shandur.
