In a significant show of security preparedness, Saudi Arabia has deployed the U.S.-made Patriot missile defense system around Makkah ahead of Hajj 2025. The move underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to safeguarding millions of pilgrims gathering for one of Islam’s holiest events.
Images released by the Ministry of Defence reveal the advanced defense systems stationed near the holy city, a rare but calculated step reflecting heightened awareness of modern aerial threats. The Patriot system is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, drones, and other airborne dangers, offering a robust layer of protection.
