Nation United in Tribute to Armed Forces, Says Information Minister Atta Tarar

Lahore — Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Sunday said that the entire Pakistani nation had united to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their historic response to recent hostilities, which he described as a moment that “the world will never forget.”

Speaking at an event in Lahore, Tarar said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, had responded to India’s aggression with strength and dignity. “When the Fatah missile was fired, panic spread across India,” he remarked. “The Pakistan Air Force shot down six aircraft of the cowardly enemy.”

Tarar said the armed forces successfully repelled the enemy’s attack and even destroyed the brigade headquarters across the border, forcing the adversary to surrender. “The enemy was compelled to wave white flags. They failed to comprehend which nation they were confronting.”

Paying homage to the fallen heroes, Tarar said, “Our martyrs and their families deserve the nation’s utmost respect. The role of our armed forces during this time will be remembered forever. As the Prime Minister rightly said, the revenge for 1971 has been taken.”

He further praised the military leadership, noting that “the COAS foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs. Despite India’s claims of numerical superiority, it suffered a decisive defeat by the grace of Almighty Allah.”

Highlighting the government’s diplomatic success, Tarar commended both the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for effectively managing the international front during the escalation.

Tarar also credited Pakistani youth and digital activists for their proactive role in countering misinformation. “Young people fought the narrative battle on social media. The entire nation stood together to counter India’s false propaganda around the clock.”

He pointed to a rare admission from an Indian Army spokesperson, who confirmed that Pakistan had successfully targeted 26 locations. “She stated India did not want war—and at that moment, the world saw that Pakistan had already won.”

Tarar drew a historical parallel, saying, “During Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, six nuclear tests were conducted. Now, under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, six enemy aircraft have been shot down. Pakistan has always stood for peace—and continues to do so.”
