Government Launches Crackdown on Anti-State Social Media Campaigns
NCCIA Takes Action Against Alleged Anti-State Hate Campaigns, Files Cases Against Five

Pakistan’s National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has initiated legal action against five individuals accused of running anti-state hate campaigns. The suspects—Adeel Raja, Moeed Pirzada, Muhammad Umar, Nazir Butt, and Ahmed Noorani—are alleged to have spread misleading and inflammatory propaganda against state institutions on social media.

According to the FIR, the accused shared false content during Pakistan-India tensions and continued to disseminate such material, prompting the NCCIA to vow strict action against those inciting chaos or targeting state entities.

The agency has urged the public to assist by reporting suspicious posts, screenshots, names, or any relevant information via WhatsApp to help identify and curb anti-state activities online.
