India Expels Another Member of Pakistan's Diplomatic Staff

India has ordered the expulsion of another member of Pakistan’s diplomatic staff, Rahim, who served as a visa assistant at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi. The Indian government declared Rahim persona non grata, making him the latest official to be expelled amid ongoing tensions.

This marks the 23rd Pakistani official to be expelled since the recent Pahalgam false-flag operation. Prior to this, 22 members of the Pakistani High Commission had already returned home. The expulsions follow a series of diplomatic moves by India to tighten relations with Pakistan, which were announced after a high-level meeting chaired by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 23. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs revealed that Pakistani diplomats’ visas would be restricted as part of these measures.

In another significant development, India ordered the immediate departure of the Defence Attaché at the Pakistani High Commission and directed that all other diplomatic staff return within seven days.

Escalation in Military Tensions
Meanwhile, the situation on the military front has escalated. According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) launched retaliatory strikes against the Indian Air Force (IAF) during the operation named Bunyan-um-Marsoos, causing severe damage to IAF assets. Multiple Indian fighter jets were reportedly shot down across various locations, and several pilots were injured or are missing in action.

One jet reportedly crashed in the Anantnag region, and the pilot is feared dead. The ejection seat of the aircraft was recovered from Gadool, Kokernag. Another jet went down in the Pampore or Pulwama area, with both pilots sustaining serious injuries and being transferred to a hospital in Srinagar. The escalating military actions reflect the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
