The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi has apprehended two individuals for allegedly using forged medical documents to obtain US visas, as reported by Express News.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrests were made after the US Consulate lodged a complaint. The suspects, Muhammad Tauseef Khan and Imran Nazir Silhari, were detained near the consulate.

Investigations revealed that the duo submitted fake medical records to justify visa applications on medical grounds. They were reportedly working with agents Aqeel and Tabassum Zia, who arranged the forged documents.

Tauseef reportedly agreed to pay Rs1 million to Aqeel, while Imran Nazir struck a Rs2.5 million deal with Zia for visa processing through fraudulent means.

The FIA stated that the fake documents were intended to mislead the US Consulate. Both suspects are in custody, and inquiries are underway.

Officials confirmed that further action will be taken against the agents based on information gathered from the detainees. The FIA emphasized that the suspects tried to deceive US authorities through falsified paperwork.

The arrests were part of a broader crackdown by the FIA’s Karachi-based Anti-Human Trafficking Circle. A larger probe is now in motion to trace the agents involved.

Earlier in March, rumors emerged about the US considering visa restrictions for Pakistan, but the US State Department dismissed reports of any travel ban list being prepared.
