Sindh Introduces New Penalty for Helmetless Motorcycle Riding

Sindh Police has intensified its crackdown on helmetless motorcyclists.

Inspector General Ghulam Nabi announced that motorcycles will now be seized on the spot if riders are found without helmets. He emphasized that the vehicles will only be returned once the rider presents a helmet.

“We aim for a cooperative traffic police, but safety is our top priority,” he stated, adding that harsher penalties will now apply.

In addition, the IG noted that over 400 suspected robbers have been apprehended in recent anti-crime operations across Sindh.
