PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan Denies Any Backdoor Contacts, Stresses Need for Political Dialogue
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday clarified that the party has had no contact with any stakeholders—neither through backdoor nor frontdoor channels.
Speaking on Samaa TV’s program Red Line with Talat, Gohar Ali Khan emphasized that PTI founder Imran Khan had not authorised anyone to engage in behind-the-scenes talks or make deals on his behalf.
“The party founder has categorically stated that no one is authorised to strike any deals in his name,” he said.

Reaffirming PTI’s commitment to political solutions, Khan underlined the importance of dialogue in resolving the current crisis. “We also want political problems to be addressed through political means. Negotiation is crucial. Sitting at the table can help find solutions to many issues,” he added.
He further stressed, “Given the current political climate, negotiations are not just beneficial—they are essential.”
While denying any formal communication channels, Gohar Ali Khan acknowledged that some form of interaction had taken place through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. “He is doing an excellent job. The PTI founder trusts the KP chief minister. Whenever there is any contact, we handle it together,” he noted
