The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairperson and Commissioner Islamabad Noor-ul-Amin Mengal arrived at the location, according to the information.
Following the incident, the CDA chairman declared that the tragedy was caused by a crane slip. But, the investigation is ongoing.
“Safety and health cannot be sacrificed,” he continued, adding that the situation would be thoroughly probed.
Rescue personnel verified that there have been no casualties associated with the incident to date.
The Bhara Kahu Bypass project has been active for the past five months, which is important to mention. This is the second incident to occur on the flyover that is still under construction in the past week. On February 25, two laborers died after the bridge’s shutter collapsed earlier in the day.
The event occurred when the shutter fell as a result of the trailer colliding, according to the initial police report.
Notably, on September 30, 2022, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif set the cornerstone for the Bhara Kaho Bypass project.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
