Shan Masood Signs All-Format Deal with Leicestershire for 2025 Season

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has signed an all-format deal with Leicestershire for the 2025 county cricket season. The 35-year-old opener, who led Pakistan to a Test series win against England last year, will bring his wealth of experience to Grace Road.

Masood is set to join Leicestershire after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League, with his debut expected on May 31 against his former club, Derbyshire. This move follows his successful tenure at Yorkshire, where he captained the side and played a pivotal role in their promotion to Division One in 2024.

Leicestershire’s Director of Cricket, Claude Henderson, expressed excitement about the signing, praising Masood’s leadership and experience, which will be key for the team.
