Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has disclosed that party member Iftikhar Rasool Ghumman contributed Rs200 million to PTI and covered all security expenses for Imran Khan, including the armored container used for his protection.

Speaking on a private TV channel, Marwat further revealed that Ghumman financed the expenses of Imran Khan’s residences in Zaman Park, Lahore, and Bani Gala, Islamabad. He also highlighted a ticket allocation controversy, stating that Ghumman initially received a PTI ticket for NA-98 (Samundari, Faisalabad-IV), but it was later revoked and reassigned to Mumtaz Ahmed, who had previously distanced himself from politics through an affidavit.

Marwat expressed concerns over PTI’s internal mismanagement, criticizing its leadership structure and decision-making. He claimed that certain individuals were misleading Imran Khan, resulting in questionable party decisions. He also pointed out PTI’s failure to establish a strong organizational framework nationwide, except in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Ali Amin Gandapur maintained party stability.

Highlighting favoritism, Marwat alleged that unqualified individuals hold key party positions due to personal connections rather than merit. He criticized the appointment of Salman Akram Raja as PTI’s Secretary General and the mishandling of ticket allocations in Sindh, where seven tickets were initially granted to one family. His revelations expose PTI’s growing internal struggles, lack of direction, and dissatisfaction among senior members.
