The video highlights the flags of all participating teams and depicts Atif playing cricket and dancing with enthusiastic young fans on the streets. The anthem’s infectious energy has garnered praise not just in Pakistan but among cricket fans globally.
The Champions Trophy 2025, beginning on February 19, marks the return of this prestigious ICC event to Pakistan after decades. Matches will run until March 19 across Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Known as the “Mini World Cup,” this tournament is the first major ICC event hosted by Pakistan since the 1996 ICC World Cup and the 2008 Asia Cup.
Due to India’s refusal to play in Pakistan, a hybrid model has been implemented, allowing India to play its matches in the UAE. This arrangement extends to ICC events through 2027.
The anthem’s success and the upcoming tournament have heightened anticipation for an exhilarating month of cricket in Pakistan, where fans eagerly await the matches and Atif Aslam’s already iconic anthem.
