Everest, located on the border between China and Nepal, continues to attract climbers from across the globe, including many from Pakistan, who have made remarkable achievements on its slopes.
In May 2023, Pakistani mountaineer Sajid Sadpara made history by summiting Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen or the help of Sherpas. He became the first Pakistani to achieve this extraordinary feat, fulfilling the dream of his late father, the legendary climber Mohammad Ali Sadpara.
Another notable achievement came from Naila Kiani, who became the first non-Nepalese climber to scale Mount Everest during the 2023 mountaineering season. She is the second Pakistani woman to reach the summit, following Samina Baig, who accomplished this milestone in 2013.
The increase in fees is expected to help manage and preserve the iconic mountain, ensuring its preservation for future generations while continuing to inspire climbers around the world.
