Islamabad Accountability Court Verdict on £190 Million Case Expected Today

The Islamabad Accountability Court, under the supervision of Judge Nasir Javed Rana, is set to deliver the long-awaited verdict in the £190 million reference case involving the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and his wife, Bushra Bibi, at Adiala Jail today.

The trial, which concluded on December 18, 2024, has faced multiple delays in announcing the verdict. Originally slated for December 23, 2024, the decision was postponed first to January 6, then to January 13, largely due to the absence of the accused. Finally, on January 14, the court issued a written order setting January 17 as the date for the final decision.
