Pakistan Set to Compete with Two Skiers at the Asian Winter Games

Pakistan is preparing to send a small but determined contingent to the upcoming Asian Winter Games, with alpine skier Mohammad Karim and cross-country skier Mohammad Shabbir leading the country’s representation in Harbin, China.

The prestigious event is set to take place from February 7 to 14, and both athletes are eager to showcase their skills on the winter sports stage, aiming to bring glory to Pakistan.

The Athletes

  • Mohammad Karim will compete in the alpine skiing events, scheduled for February 8-9. A top alpine skier in Pakistan, Karim has significant experience at international winter sports events, including previous participations in three Winter Olympics. He will look to make a strong impact at the Games and continue his journey on the global skiing circuit.
  • Mohammad Shabbir, the cross-country skier, will compete from February 8-12. This event marks another important milestone in Shabbir’s athletic career, as he continues to sharpen his skills in the physically demanding discipline of cross-country skiing.

The Pakistan Contingent for the Asian Winter Games

Alongside the athletes, Pakistan will be represented by four key officials, ensuring the smooth participation of the contingent:
