World Champion Muhammad Asif secured a spot in the SARC Snooker Championship final after defeating compatriot and former World Junior Champion Muhammad Naseem Akhtar in a closely contested match.
In the first semi-final held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Asif triumphed 5-3 against Naseem after an intense battle, advancing to the final with the title in sight. Naseem had earlier earned his semi-final spot by defeating India’s Kamal Chawla 4-2.

In the final scheduled for Friday, Asif will face Sri Lanka’s Taha Irshad, who defeated Nepal’s Ankit Man 5-3 in another closely fought semi-final.
