Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, chaired a meeting on Thursday to discuss strategies for enhancing resource management, operational efficiency, and revenue generation in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the chairman emphasized the need to implement digital parking systems in major parks across the city. The collected revenue from these systems will be allocated for the development and maintenance of the parks.
The meeting also focused on improving the operations of Capital Hospital. Chairman Randhawa directed measures to reduce the reliance on local medicine purchases, the appointment of a Director of Finance, and the formulation of a comprehensive plan to enhance the hospital’s financial sustainability.

For the Directorate of Health Services, the discussions included plans to reopen non-functional medical centers and appoint medical officers. Additionally, it was proposed that mandatory medical screenings and vaccinations be required for workers in businesses such as barber shops and food outlets as part of the licensing process.
Reforms for the Enforcement Wing were also on the agenda. The meeting discussed empowering inspectors to collect fines on the spot and implementing an online fine collection system to improve transparency and efficiency.
These initiatives are aimed at improving public services and increasing operational transparency in Islamabad.
