The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced planned electricity suspensions for Tuesday.
The power cuts will affect several areas across the company’s service region. The outages are scheduled for maintenance and development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, multiple feeders in Islamabad Circle will remain without electricity. The suspension will take place from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The affected feeders include Rehara, Kurri, CM Pak Zong and Navy-1. Sowan Garden-I, Sowan Garden-II and Ali Pur feeders are also included.
Consumers in these areas may experience temporary power disruptions during the scheduled work. The company said the maintenance is necessary for its electricity network.
In Attock Circle, several feeders will face longer power suspensions. Electricity supply will remain suspended from 5 a.m. until noon.
The affected areas include Bahtar More, Punjab Small Industries and Kohistan Enclave. KV Kashif Gul, Model Town and Mix Industry feeders are also on the schedule.
The Fawara Chowk feeder will have a separate suspension. Its power supply will remain unavailable from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Chakwal Circle will also experience scheduled electricity outages. Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur, Sagharpur and CWO feeders will be affected.
The suspension in these areas will run from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dharyala Jalip feeder will remain affected from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Longer maintenance work is planned in the GSO Circle. Power supply to the 132KV GSS Rawat-II power transformer T-1 will remain suspended.
This suspension will continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work is part of the company’s routine maintenance and development activities.
The 132KV AWC HMC Taxila and 132KV Sangjani-Burhan lines will also be affected. Their power suspension is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The 132KV Kahuta City-Palandri line will also face an interruption. The 132KV New Wah-Bahtermore line will be affected as well.
The related earth switch and nearby areas will also experience power suspension. This work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
IESCO said the planned outages are temporary. The company apologized to consumers for the inconvenience caused by the maintenance work.
The company added that electricity could be restored earlier than the scheduled time. This will depend on the completion of maintenance work by field teams.
Consumers in affected areas have been advised to plan their activities accordingly. They may also take necessary measures before the scheduled outages begin.
IESCO carries out routine maintenance to improve the reliability of its distribution network. Planned shutdowns help technical teams complete work safely.
The company said its teams would try to complete the assigned tasks within the announced time. Power supply will be restored after the required work is completed.
