The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather for most parts of the country, with light rain and snowfall expected in the northern and hilly regions over the coming days.
According to the PMD, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Kashmir, and adjacent mountainous areas are likely to experience light rain and snowfall in some locations. In the plains of K-P and the Pothohar region, fog is expected during early morning hours. Light fog may also appear in southern Punjab and upper Sindh in the mornings.

In Islamabad, the capital is expected to remain cold with partly cloudy skies, while Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas may see light rain and snow. Northern districts like Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad could also witness light precipitation.
Other regions in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are forecasted to stay cold with occasional light rain and snow. In Sindh, cities such as Sukkur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, and Mohenjodaro may experience fog in the mornings, affecting visibility.
Balochistan will experience mostly dry and cold conditions, with Quetta seeing temperatures as low as minus 2°C. The areas of Ziarat and Kalat could see even colder temperatures, dropping to minus 5°C and minus 4°C, respectively. The plains, including Jiwani, Pasni, and Gwadar, are forecasted to have cold winds, while Pishin, Sarawan, and Khanuzai are likely to experience partly cloudy skies.
Northern areas are advised to prepare for snow and cold weather, and drivers in southern fog-prone regions should exercise caution during early morning travel. The PMD also recommends keeping track of weather updates, particularly for residents of mountainous and fog-affected areas.
