Containers have been positioned at Babu Sabu Interchange, blocking motorway access and diverting traffic to alternate routes like Thokar Niaz Baig. Significant disruptions are reported between Niazi Adda and Babu Sabu Interchange. Routes at Saggian, Sheikhupura, Al-Saeed Chowk, and Shahdara, including Imamia and Barkat colonies, are also blocked. Begum Kot Chowk, the Eastern Bypass, and parts of the Lahore Ring Road are completely shut.
Additional security personnel have been deployed at checkpoints, though traffic within the city reportedly remains unaffected. Meanwhile, six motorway sections, including M-1 to M-14, were earlier closed for maintenance starting November 22.
The measures align with Imran Khan’s call for a mass protest march towards Islamabad on November 24.
