The Ministry of Religious Affairs will finalize its selection of commercial banks to process Hajj applications under the government’s regular scheme by early November.
The ministry’s tender committee reviewed proposals from 15 commercial banks during a meeting held on Friday. Chaired by Joint Secretary Sajjad Haider Yaldram, the committee also includes officials such as Joint Secretary Chaudhry Asadullah Faiz, Chief Finance Officer Zulfiqar Khan, and Deputy Secretary for Hajj Operations Nasir Aziz Khan, with bank representatives present to oversee the process.

Pakistan’s total Hajj quota of 179,210 will be split evenly, with 89,605 allocations for both government and private schemes. The estimated cost of the government’s Hajj package for 2025 is projected to be between Rs. 1,075,000 and Rs. 1,175,000.
