Students to Receive Mandatory Grace Marks in Board Exams

The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has introduced a significant reform in the national education system, requiring all educational boards across Pakistan to implement a minimum of seven passing marks for students. This decision was finalized during a sub-committee meeting held at the Karachi Secondary Education Board, where various proposals aimed at enhancing academic standards were discussed.

In addition, starting from the next academic year, the passing marks for students will be increased from 33 to 40. This change was announced by IBCC Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah during a press conference on Tuesday.
