The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted light rain and overcast skies in Karachi over the next 24 hours. Early Thursday morning, light drizzle was recorded, with temperatures expected to range between 30°C and 32°C.
The minimum temperature in the city was noted at 28°C, with humidity levels reaching 85%. Westward winds are blowing at a speed of 13 km/h. The PMD also anticipates light rain or drizzle in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Badin throughout the day.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz indicated that monsoon winds are expected to arrive in lower Sindh starting August 16. As a result, Karachi may experience moderate rain and thundershowers between August 17 and 19, with heavy rainfall possible in some areas.
In light of the upcoming monsoon activity, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an urban flooding alert for parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa until August 18. The NDMA’s National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) warns of moderate to heavy rains anticipated across Hazara, Malakand Division, and other districts.
