PM Shehbaz Sharif to Announce ‘Good News’ on Electricity Bill Reduction Soon

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that he will soon share “good news” regarding the reduction of electricity bills, emphasizing that lower electricity prices are essential for the progress of Pakistan’s industry and agriculture.

Speaking at the Independence Day ceremony, Sharif also revealed plans to present a five-year economic strategy soon. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by Muslims under Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership, which led to the creation of Pakistan, and reflected on the nation’s challenges over the past 77 years, including economic decline and internal and external conspiracies.

Addressing public concerns about inflation, unemployment, and high electricity bills, Sharif stressed the importance of learning from past experiences to shape a better future. Sharif emphasized the need to move away from dependency and align with Quaid-e-Azam’s principles to overcome current challenges. He assured that the government is working diligently to reduce electricity prices and will provide updates on this soon, along with the upcoming five-year economic plan aimed at addressing inflation and supporting economic growth.
