[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]On Sunday, numerous leaders and members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) faced repercussions as they initiated protests across various cities, alleging electoral malpractice in the recent general elections. Prompted by the party’s founder, supporters in Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, and other locations found themselves confronted with arrests and heavy-handed responses from law enforcement.
Despite the formation of a government led by an electoral coalition dominated by the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, the PTI remains in a state of discord, challenging both authorities and influential figures for what they assert is manipulation and rigging of election results. Although the Election Commission of Pakistan released Form 45 and 47 on its platform approximately four weeks after polling, the PTI raised concerns, accusing authorities of orchestrating a theft of electoral mandates.

In Lahore, the provincial capital, police detained numerous protesting workers at GPO Chowk, with a visible deployment of multi-layered anti-riot forces on Mall Road and other strategic areas to uphold law and order.
In Rawalpindi, a confrontation unfolded among several workers of Imran Khan’s party after law enforcement prevented a demonstration rally led by Seemabia Tahir from entering the city. Several party members were detained but later released.
In KP’s Tank, party workers and activists organized a rally from Sabir Bazaar to Town Hall ground. Additionally, protests and demonstrations occurred in Faisalabad, Vehari, Khushab, Islamabad, Multan, Gujranwala, and various other cities. The PTI’s persistent protests reflect their ongoing discontent with the electoral process and a determination to voice their grievances against perceived irregularities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
